Dr. Georgios Ch. Sirakoulis<\/strong> received his Diploma degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/a> (1996) from the Democritus University of Thrace (DUTh<\/a>), Greece, and for his Diploma Thesis he received a prize of distinction from the Technical Chamber of Greece<\/a> (TEE). In 2001, he received his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering<\/a> from the Democritus University of Thrace, Greece. He is Professor with tenure in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace (2008-today). Moreover, he is EUROPRACTICE<\/a> representative for DUTh, and he has served as a member at the EU IDEAS<\/a> programme. Furthermore, he is Associate Editor in “IEEE Transactions on Nanotechnology<\/a>“, “Microelectronics Journal<\/a>“, “Integration, the VLSI Journal<\/a>“, “Journal of Cellular Automata<\/a>“, “International Journal of Parallel, Emergent and Distributed Systems<\/a>“, “International Journal of Unconventional Computing<\/a>“, “Parallel Processing Letters<\/a>“, “Journal of Applied Matehematics<\/a>“, “Recent Advances on Electrical & Electronic Engineering<\/a>“.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently he is principal investigator\/responsible of the following on-going funded scientific project: MEM-Q<\/a>: Memristive nanomaterials and electronic devices for quantum and neuromorphic computing (GSRT<\/a> funding for period 2018-2020). He is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (IEEE<\/a>), of the I<\/a>EEE Computer Society<\/a>, of the Association of Computing Machinery (ACM)<\/a>, of HiPEAC<\/a>, of the European Geosciences Union (EGU<\/a>) and TEE<\/a>.  He is general co-chair of NANOARCH 2018<\/a>, and he served as general co-chair of PACET 2017<\/a>, ACRI 2014<\/a> Conference (Cellular Automata for Research and Industry), ACRI 2012<\/a>, SFHMMY 10<\/a>, SFHMMY 5<\/a>, and of several Special Sessions in IEEE NANO 2015<\/a>, PDP 2015<\/a>, HiPEAC CSW 2014<\/a>, PCI 2014<\/a>, PDP 2014<\/a>, ICECS 2013<\/a>,  etc. His courses lab activities are sponsored by ARM<\/a>, Freescale<\/a>, Xilinx,<\/a> Altera<\/a> and Nvidia<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
